About Geoff

I am a qualified Senior Programme/Project/Portfolio Manager based in the North-East of England with a successful track record of initialising and delivering high-profile complex Programmes & Projects embedding a change culture in demanding stakeholder environments across a range of Public Sector Government Departments. I have significant expertise typically working with Senior Sponsors and Programme Directors both within HMRC and Other Government Departments along with Private Sector suppliers to design, plan and lead major business transformation, IT programmes with budgets typically exceeding £100m and matrix teams of 500+ staff.

I am passionate about developing project professionals to deliver improved services through mentoring and cohort groups providing the leadership and experience so individuals can develop to work at pace to successfully deliver Programmes & Projects across both Government and the Private Sector. Since leaving HMRC I have undertaken a range of Private & Public Sector Contract Project Management roles. I have also been active with the Association of Project Management (APM) for several years as an accredited Chartership Assessor carrying out reviews of Chartership Assessment Applications and conducting Chartership interviews on behalf of APM. I also carry out Level 4 Diploma Apprentice End Point Assessments.

My Personal interests include being professional musician – percussionist (drummer) in a North-East Function Band, Fly Fishing and holidaying.
