About Brian

Brian DUBRIE is as a highly experienced Chartered engineer and a strategic transformational leader, with over 40 year’s experience and an in-depth knowledge across the Defence and Security sector. A graduate of the Cabinet Office sponsored Major Project Leadership Academy (MPLA) and an experienced Cabinet Office High Risk Review Team Leader, with strengths in Project Assurance, Project set-up and Project Recovery covering the broad spectrum of Governance, Project Controls, Risk, Finance, Business Cases and Benefits. He has led over 70 High Risk Reviews across government including, MOD, GCHQ, CT Policing, HO, FCDO, BEIS, HMRC, DfT and the NDA. A Fellow of the IET and the APM and a successful leader of Major Transformation Programmes, both as a SRO and a Programme Director. He is also an experienced and qualified Executive Coach who is currently coaching cohort members of the Project Leadership Programme (PLP).

Now an independent consultant working with Industry and Government as a strategic advisor. His last role in government was as a Deputy Director in the National Crime Agency responsible for the delivery of a portfolio of complex crime fighting technology programmes and transforming the Agency’s IT Services. Prior to this, he was a Deputy Director in the MoD leading a team of 500 staff, responsible for the delivery of a £7.2Bn highly secure IT infrastructure programme across 1,200 MOD sites supporting 250,000 Users in the UK, Overseas and Deployed locations in the Middle East. His career spans senior positions in Diplomacy, Intelligence, International Collaboration, Science and Technology, Counter Terrorism and People Transformation.

Technically astute, calm under pressure and a natural collaborator with mature people transformation skills, who enjoys building strong stakeholder relationships.

Brian spends much of his spare time with his family, fighting an ever-losing battle with his garden and an odd bit of running and cycling with his wife, to try and maintain some level of fitness and sanity!
