To perform well, project individuals need to understand the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for their current or future role and to understand how they currently perform against these. This draws out both an individual’s strengths and areas for development. The Project Academy provides a variety of industry-standard and bespoke solutions for individual competency development. Our advanced online systems have been implemented across many organisations, both in the Public and Private Sectors.

Examples include our systems being adopted across 4,000 project professionals in Shell’s global PPM community. Several clients have also engaged us to implement our 360 degree Project Leadership assessment and development reporting. This is in use across the UK Government’s projects community via our work on the IPA’s Project Leadership Programme. The 360 degree reviews then support our coaching programmes to tackle real-life, here-and-now, leadership challenges.

How we help

360 Degree Leadership Assessment

We have defined the core behaviours necessary for effective project and change leadership, aligned to the APM’s professional standards. The resulting behavioural framework is hosted within our self-service online system, enabling an individual to self assess and draw feedback from a multitude of contributors.

360 Sponsorship Assessment

At The Project Academy we develop sponsor capability through our development programmes, supported by our bespoke 360 Degree sponsor assessment. Based on a combination of APM standards and our own expertise, we have developed a robust assessment enabling sponsors to gain feedback from various stakeholders, leading to improved self-awareness, recognition of strengths and identification of blind spots.
