We are excited to announce the extension of our work alongside Cranfield University and PA Consulting in leading the Project Leadership Programme – producing a highly skilled cadre of government project leaders under the new Government Projects Academy.
Since 2015 we have worked diligently as a consortium to empower individuals with the capabilities and expertise to deal with some of the UK’s most complex and high-calibre projects. To manage high-calibre projects you need high-calibre professionals, of which the Project Leadership Programme to date has produced over 1000!
The programme runs over twelve months and contains a package of development activities. These range from face-to-face teaching run at Cranfield to online content, specific electives (such as Agile and Transformation) and executive coaching provided by PA Consulting and The Project Academy.
The Project Academy’s expertise supports the pre- and post- 360-degree assessment of participants, based on a bespoke PLP competence framework. The framework is hosted on our new generation online competence and capability management software. Our coaches are experienced senior PPM professionals and PLP participants benefit from 1-2-1 executive coaching regime that helps tackle live project leadership challenges.
Paul Erricker Managing Director at The Project Academy said: “We Are delighted to have the opportunity to work alongside the IPA and our PLP partners, to deliver this enhanced leadership programme. Government projects are highly complex and in these difficult times require the highest level of project leadership. Our team looks forward to supporting IPA and Government Departments meet the significant challenges ahead.”
